Product description

Plai- or Zingiber Cassumunar oil is used daily in Asian medicine thanks to its impressive pharmacological properties. It is therefore not surprising that this oil is also an effective tool in the (ailments / medical) massage world. In Thai aromatherapy Plai oil is used as an essential oil, mixed (25/75) with a high quality natural massage oil. RLX Plai Oil is based on coconut oil. The main properties of Plai are the rapid relief of pain in muscles and joints and the anti-inflammatory effect. Pure Plai oil should never be used on the skin.

Indications for use of Thai Plai:
Several authoritative monographs (WHO, ESCOP, Kommission E) describe the following indications for the use of Plai as a massage aid:

rheumatic conditions
sports injuries
bruises
sprains
blood spills
muscle complaints
migraine
bursa inflammations
low back pain (chronic)
frozen shoulder

Contraindications to use RLX Plai:
Use of ginger rhizome extracts is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding). Our Plai massage oil is for external use only. It should not be used with massages for children under 6 years old. If the patient has gallstones, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Side effects:
The occurrence of allergic reactions can occasionally occur with topical application of fresh ginger or ginger powder in susceptible persons. If the client indicates that they have certain allergies, always test the Plai oil by smearing a drop on the inside of the wrist or behind the horn. If there are no red spots or itching after 5 minutes, the oil can be used quietly.

Interactions:
Interactions with regular or natural medicines are possible. Ginger extracts can affect the absorption process of other substances as well as blood clotting. Patients taking anticoagulants or patients with haemorrhagic diathesis should consult their treating physician before being treated with Plai oil.
